Note:
Joe, just like your letter to us of May 26, 2009, we need to know what the cell phone tower property tax liability is. Since the Leasehold Property Identification Numbers were cancelled, we pay all of the tax under PIN 14-12-22-100-001-0000. The defunct parcels are 14-12-22-100-002-0004 & 14-12-22-100-003-0004. Last year the tax for each tower was $1,949.72. We will request reimbursement from them in the amount that you determine, based on this years assessment and tax rate. A letter like last year's would help us since we can forward a copy to the tower owners. Thank you very much, David Kiefner 26416 S Cedar Rd. Manhattan, IL 60442

Note:
I recently received my property tax. When looking it over I noticed that the market value of my place was at just over $202 thousand. With the market the way that it was and even the sale of brand new duplexes being sold at less than 200000 I find it hard to believe that it was worth that much. I also went on to Manhattan townships website and noticed you have my place being sold to me for 202646.29. This is inaccurate by quite a bit. Now you are basing my property taxes of that 202 sale price. I would like an explanation as to why. I have proof of what I paid for the place and what it was assessed for when I bought the place and it is no where near what you have listed. Thank you, Christopher P. Reed

Note:
Hi Joe! I have spent some time looking at your site and comparing the equalized values of similar homes to mine and noticed that they were about $3,000 less than my assessment is. I didn't know if it was because I had purchased my home more recently and for a higher price? The square footages of the lesser priced homes are the same as mine as well as the style of the home, which I would think would make them the same/similar in value. I don't know what else you look at to assess the values of the homes, though. I am wondering if there is any possibility that mine could be reduced? Thank you so much for your time, Joe. Allison Denton

Note:
15550 Ridgefield is on realtor.com with a full finished basement which is not on the property card. It shows another bedroom, bathroom and kitchen in the pictures. Do you realize that most homes on realtor.com are selling for about 20% less than what you have them assessed for. Look at 15473 Ridgefield. It is listed for around $60,000 less than your assessment.

Joe- In reviewing my tax bills for my Tramore Subdivision in Manhattan, PIN # 14-12-17-107-001-0000 is assessed as having a structure constructed on it. There has not been a building constructed to date and I believe the tax bill was sent incorrectly. Please review and call me to discuss. My number is 815-603-5847. Thanks. Mike Gallagher

Note:
I am resident at 25006 Clare Circle in Manhattan IL. Currently my taxes are roughly 5800.00/year. My house is only 1550 sq. feet and I own none of the surrounding property. Also my sale price of my home was overstated to the township/county by almost 40,000.00. Not sure is this would effect the amonut of my tax bill, but would like some information on how its calculated and if some kind of relief or re-assesment would be possible. Sincerely, Jason M. Couch
